Does anyone here know of any retail (i.e. real life) stores that have a good selection of yo-yos in Maryland or the Washington, D.C. area? I’m beginning to think that good yo-yos can only be bought online, where you always have to pay extra for shipping, even though anything can go wrong between the time your order is placed and the time your yo-yo is shoved into the mailbox or thrown into the bushes by the front door. So far, the only place I’ve found with a respectable selection of yo-yos is YoYoJoes Toys and Fun, which is in Wilmington, Delaware (it would cost more in gas to drive there than to pay shipping on a new yo-yo). Is there any place closer to home where I can go, or are good yo-yos just not to be found in stores anymore?
Sorry, I realize this post probably sounds hopelessly stupid, since most people either don’t live in Maryland or don’t mind buying online, but if anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated.
