the most important thing is coating and playing cool. i believe that’s why most people addicted to clyw. before chief, everything was good. it was going really good about prices, playability for that year. but after chief came out, prices are suddenly raised 80 bucks. i dont know they’re using same metal, same coating but this doesnt explain anything about this raise??? im sure clyw has an explanation about that but i wont be satisfied for any explanation.

I’d guess that one thing about the Chief is the increased complicity (was that spelled right?) of the machining.

A couple things about CLYW.

  1. yes, this is Chri’s only job.
  2. the double rims does increase the machining cost because it is much more difficult to machine.
  3. Chris actually explains the explanation for the cost of his yo-yos on the Arctic circle thread.
  4. even beat a CLYW throw will still play very very smooth.
  5. They do have the collectors aspect.
