This was waiting for me when I got home today! Quite possibly the best yoyo I’ve ever thrown… This thing is quickly my new favorite throw!
That splash looks great. The YYE pictures looked pretty lackluster tbh, but that’s lovely.
I at first was a bit disappointed that some of the colors were sold out and only had this and ash berry to choose from not to mention a few other options from a few other sites… That said I’m so glad I got what I did. It’s without a doubt the best looking yoyo I’ve ever had and pretty sure had I got anything else I wouldn’t be nearly as happy as I am now. So much win!
Honestly the Summit is cool and all but I’m not so sure it’s worth getting. I’m interested to see if it’s that much different from an Avalanche. Something just tells me this yoyo is all hype. Those who have one, how does it compare?
I can tell you that it’s nothing like the Avalanche. I was not fond of that yoyo. But this one is incredible. It’s wider which I didn’t think I’d like, but it fits my hand perfectly. I’d say it’s a toss up between this and my Model 10 for ‘stable and floaty throw of the year’. Really super smooth.

Great colorways though…and that’s all I’ll say about that.
As for my dragonslayer, I’ve only thrown it a few times. Feels a little heavier and more forceful than the Cascade, which I like. Not quite as fast as the Avalanche either. I can sense the middle ground of it compared to those two throws. I do like the width compared to the Avalanche…but I dunno. I think I’d still take the 'lanche if you were going to take all but one from me.
Yes. I don’t spend a lot of my time bad mouthing yoyos or yoyo companies because it’s unproductive, but CLYW and I have not seen eye to eye. I’ve owned every model of CLYW except the Cliff, and I just wasn’t happy with any of them except the Gnar. Sorry if others can’t understand that. The Summit is the combination of the best aspects of both the Avalanche and Cascade. The width of the Cascade combined with the contour of the Avalanche has produced an incredible throw.
I wholeheartedly agree with you! I was not fond of the avalanche, but this is perfect. This is one of the few yoyos I would be proud to have multiples of.
The summit plays MUCH different than than the Avalanche (I love both the Avalanche and the Cascade) It is MUCH more stable and more solid as well. It kind of floats through tricks like the Cascade can but does not play like a Cascade either… I think It adds enough of each yoyo where it becomes its own beast. It is really well made (designed)
