Has anyone ever made a white metal yo-yo? It seems like it would look really good. (The basecamp white powder thing doesn’t count)
Not possible.
Unfortunately you cannot anodize the color white. There are people here more knowledgeable about it than I, but in short, the white anodize “molecules” are too big to fit into aluminum “pores”. That’s why we’re limited to airbrush paint and powdercoating.
White coated metal yo-yo.
Produced in both white and black.
He said powder coats don’t count.
My silver Grasshopper GTX and my silver Flux are the closest I have to “white” aluminum yoyos. The bead blast on them makes the silver look white compared to the stainless steel weight rings (which are gold in the case of the Grasshopper).
It’s not, it’s silver. It’s literally impossible to have white ano.

I had the same question and that post explains it pretty succinctly!
We need smaller white dye molecules!!! I’m headed to the library… who’s with me?!
And I should add: I’m wrong, it’s not impossible to anodize white. It’s just impossible to anodize aluminum white.
for everyone who sat in high school Chemistry and thought “when will I ever need this?”…here you go.
