i was just wondering what the difference is between the k-pad and the Silicone pad on an 888 ???

K-Pads are actually Silicone Kentaro Pads. Some YYF yoyos used to come with Kentaro Pads, so I guess they upgraded and made it silicone.

Silicone Pads are simply silicone. Thats all there is to it.

So are they basically the same?

I believe that K-pads are texturized. Which is said to give a stronger bind.

K-Pads tend to be grippier, yes. Usually, I like to only use one K-Pad. Gives me unresponsive play but good binds.
