I’m very new to looping but when I began searching for a quality looping Yoyo to both learn and grow on long term the answer from others was overwhelming “Loop 720”. So I have a pair of those now.

They are both great loopers, but the majority of people will choose the 720s.

okay thanks but what about the loop 1080 do the stil make those

The 1080s have an adjustable axle which will help with the gap, but 720s are still my go-to. I have a couple pairs of 1080s and they are just ok.

how about the yotricks match i think its just a loop 720 with a b size bearing

Yes. Same as the Sunrise.

ill probaly get the 2 handed match pack its 34 dollars and comes with arm wrap sleeves and lube and string and 2 match yoyos …and finger wrap wow what a good deal

1080 are t made anymore 2020 are but harder to get than other options. The new seekers are nice

why are 2020s harder to get what does that even mean and how come yoyofactory doesnt sell them anymore

1080 are discontinued yyf just moved on.

2020 are only being sold by certain retailers mostly in the Japan market as 2a isn’t as popular in the US and EU making them an import item. Not impossible to get but harder than a loop 720, hornet or seeker.

Personally I’ve fallen in love with C3 initiators and seekers for looping YoYo’s as they are in the right price range still but solid and not YoYo factory.

Hornets are fantastic though they have won contests.

The blitz ball, dragon ball and wind ball are all cheap but decent alternatives but very Asia market focused.

Match are reskinned 720 with sunrise spacers and b bearings. Sunrise and match are a bit more responsive which makes looping easier but tricks beyond that harder as it’s way harder to sleep

Raiders and fireballs are hard to use without modding and you need parts from japan to do it well.

Oracle are reskinned loop 360 which use pads. Pads are easier to use at first but less consistent over time making them not ideal for looping tricks.

Most other loppers are mostly just loop 720 like with different weight or shape that’s hard to feel unless you are experienced.

Jpl solutions loop ups are an exception but expensive they are fantastic and come in adjustable and not but it’s not worth going that route until you get more consistent in your looping.

Lots of older loopers and fixed axle options but those aren’t as readily available or are harder to use starting out so won’t get into those.

Hope that helps some

As others have noted 720 are often described as the standard. They are good not amazing not bad but they do the job well.

That’s a great list.

I didn’t mention the magic yoyo options as those are similar to blitzballs in quality but more expensive.

I left out yozean as they no longer ship to the US.

I skipped a few Japan, South Korea and China specific brands as they are either expensive or not easy to learn on.

I avoided stuff out if production even though some swear by yoyo jam loopers and or Russel but cost and availability are rough.

I intentionally avoided 3d printed as I don’t think we have a great 3d printed looper yet and may never as starbursts are the standard and hard to get printed on an FDM printer and resin shatters too easily.

As much as I wanted to mention the imperial I feel like that’s a hard place to start even if it’s the cheapest and easiest to get ahold of option.

Left out wood as there just aren’t many wood options in loopers or your gambling on used…

Spintastic has a neat looper but that’s a competitor so I’ll stop there.

Anything else just feels like it’s either way too expensive, niche or difficult and not worth mentioning or is essentially a different skinned loop 720

That was not a challenge. I was giving a compliment
