What would you like to see come from Onedrop (hypothetical)

Versions of a finger spin dimple SE have been tried and ruled out:

I’m not quite picturing what shape would cause this hazard more than a UL. I think versions that are better than ULs but still not great by the standards of FS yo-yo hubs could work. Something like a Flat Cap with a concave?

Shape assortment packs would be awesome too! You could sell specific colors or do titanium or brass sets. I would also really like to see some side effects with a pyramatte finish. I guess they would have to put them in some sort of fixture to protect the important parts while they tumble them, though. It would be nice to have a matching finish, especially with a single color yoyo. I think a weight tuning set could be kept as simple as possible, which is why I suggested Flat Caps. It’s a simple cylinder with a flat top. You already have a 2.5 gram Ultra Light, and you can just tweak the height of the Flat Cap to adjust weight on the others. I think even at 9.5 grams of aluminum, they wouldn’t be too ridiculously tall, besides, they are more of a learning tool than a style choice. Put a simple clear anodizing on them and a simple number engraving on the end for the weight.

Yeah, I highly doubt that.

Remember that Anti-Yos are 4.7g, compared to Ultralights which are 2.5g and do not protrude from the hub. So all of the protruding material in the Anti-Yos contributes 2.2g, meaning they’d need to protrude by roughly 3.2× that much in order to be 9.5g. I’m pretty sure that would make them about as long as stunt pegs.

Honestly, they’d probably look like old school hubs that had 15+mm axles

naw you can buy them in bulk for cheaper, iirc they just anodize them in runs of 100 so that’s your minimum order quantity for one style/color

or at least this was the case last time i asked about buying some for prototyping a few years back

We’re talking about 8 at retail, not 100 at wholesale. If you pay for them to machine 100 for you, then there’s zero risk for them because they get payment up-front and it’s your job to sell them, so there’s no retail overhead. One Drop have never had overly high quantities of any one Side Effect available at once, and yet there are always various designs & colours in stock, which gives me the impression that Side Effects also don’t sell very quickly.

Moar bRainiers. I want to try one, especially if it’s blue as the splashes are unobtainable

The crucibles are really close, and super performative. Brainier is slightly more comfortable to me, but the crucible is by far the better yoyo.

I don’t know if this color would be possible but I’d like some neon yellow side effects to match my string.
