The more collectible a yoyo is the worse it plays for the most part(exceptions being titaniums). OG Torrent(lol remember when YYN blew these out for like $80 last year?), Peaks, Anti-Yo(although this hype-train has died in the last year, i remember when BPZLs went for hundreds), let’s be honest, not exactly great playing yoyos.
Either way hype comes and goes, so buying a yoyo hoping it will be collectible, or overpaying because you think it will continue to be so, is a mistake.
People who made hundreds of dollars by buying Peaks when they released probably lost thousands on other purchases, so yoyoing is for sure a losing game in the end, no matter how adept you think you are at buying selling and trading. Collect what you enjoy because there will probably be a day when you’ll barely be able to give your yoyos away.
