What is the worst yoyo, of all time?

Rev G…now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. Never played one or saw one in person but remember seeing it in my 1999 yoyo catalog…I thought “ooh, this looks cool and high tech.” The craziest throw I had at the time was my Yomega Raider.

I’m not quite sure if I have come across any turd-like yoyos yet.

I can only speak for what I’ve had in my hands. Maybe three years ago I decided to learn yoyo, got on Amazon, and … (many of you know where I am going here.). I bought two metal yoyos, one responsive and one unresponsive from a company that has USA in the name. Clearly this was a marketing ploy as there was noting USA about these yoyos. They played just alike, which was, not much at all. I tried for a couple of days and then lost interest. Two years later I decided to try it again, came to this place, and asked advice before purchasing my next yoyo.

I will say, they are pretty. I may turn them into Christmas ornaments.

The more I think about it, the more I realize I dont hate any yoyos anymore. There’s some that I used to say I hated. But have since come around to liking. That being said, if I had to choose 3 yoyos I would rather not throw, it would be the banshee (although ss and titanium version are amazing), sf×od thing ( I cant remember the name), and any yoyofactory post 2015

I think the EVO is the correct choice for the YYJ hall of shame. That yo-yo was very very bad.

The worst from my collection is a czm8. Kinda my fault for buying it several years after it was at all relevant. I also didn’t know Czech point was a thing.

Don’t buy outdated and replaced yoyos. They’re bad lol

I know this is an old post but I am curious to know if you still have the unopened luminator and if you are interested in getting rid of it.

Thanks

Not necessarily. I’ve found that quite a few older models are better than their “new and improved” replacements. Yyf superstar, 07 888, spyy punchline, peak, the list goes on and on

Fair. I did cite that one as being terrible in the article. Probably more roundly despised than the BK. Think I felt like not enough players experienced it’s badness (and YYJ did right the ship as far as off-string. Sometimes it’s nice to inject a little controversy to spark the discussion lol.

Dv888 absolute garbage

My WOAT nominee. Oversized slimline with clutch system AND lights. It’s really more of a yoyo-shaped-object. Still sorta fun, in its own way.

Been digging deep again (sorry in advance :joy:)

…noticed I had two of the yoyo’s mentioned on here.

I don’t remember either of these playing incredibly poor at the time…

I used the Big Kahuna quite a bit. It did hurt the hand from time to time …but overall I liked it!

The Aerobi…I was at a toy store in VA. They had a demo model that played great! The one I got did not play nearly as well :man_shrugging: …I was a sucker for adjustable gaps and still thought it was rad.

What is it about that REV G? I played one. It was terrible. But, for some reason I still got the itch for it. It would look cool in the case. :sunglasses: (Although, It would have to be a real bargain :money_with_wings:)

Technically the RCS dumpster fire, but I feel like it’s an exclusion judging it’s literally built to be the worst Yoyo on purpose haha.

For me unironically, the most worst Yoyo I’ve played had to be the 2020+ yyf wedges, just because the durability, and the build quality was absolutely terrible comparing to the 2018 ones

I’ve done washing machine on a 2018 wedge and that thing still takes a beating and is probably my favorite PC Yoyo, the new wedges break within a week, even with one accidental screwing or hit to the ground :\

I’m surprised no one has brought up there dumpster fire for the gimmick yoyo thread seeing as the gimmick is worst yoyo.

I wasn’t even aware there was a gimmick Yoyo one haha, I guess mines would be the deep state, petri, and sliver, just because I love slim lines for practicing
