What is the most idiotic thing to have battery powered?

What is the worst thing one could imagine making powered by batteries or be otherwise electrified?

My current winner is a battery-powered chair. When it runs out of power it falls apart

Battery powered meter that continuously displays the charge remaining in the battery.

But like what if you weren’t able to exactly know when it would run out of power and the way you treated your body also played into how long it ran

Edit i now realize that the OP was talking about a pacemaker not an actual heart lolol

Make sure that the battery you had to use to power it was like a D cell that was in the middle of the string

I think this is almost the plot of a movie starring Jason Stratham.

D Cell counterweight. The string has wire woven in and it powers LEDs in the yoyo.

A battery charger charged by the same size battery it charges.

Wait a minute. I Have a pacemaker and it is Battery powered and I Would die if the battery died. I think it’s a brilliant piece of technology that has to be powered by a battery. I think the most idiotic battery powered devices currently made is a bicycle and a toothbrush

I didn’t mean to sound like a jerk. I have a battery powered implant for pain and the amount of trouble that thing causes is ridiculous. I imagine the technology is better when it is a life sustaining device.

No worries. I can take it. I feel extremely lucky to have it. And you didn’t come off like a jerk to me

This is actually a big concern for some. People are out there with things called LVADs which are are basically big propellers in the heart to push the blood around because their heart no longer pumps efficiently. (They don’t even have a heart beat anymore). And they have to carry extra batteries with them everywhere because they will die if it runs out.

I worked in an advanced cardiac support unit for a little bit and we used impellas on our patients which are like LVADs but at least we get to plug them into the wall. Except one time the power went out. We had a generator but it’s scary cuz there’s a few seconds before it kicks on.
