Here’s we’re it ends up mostly… back to the earth.
I really like the dv888 and wish it didn’t get so much hate. I feel like most of the hate stems from people thinking it’s supposed to be an og 888 and feeling disappointed when it’s not. I got an og 888 recently and I think I might like the dv more. Haha.
Glad you’re still enjoying them mate, sure has been a while!
Hard to find a better duo.
Damn that’s a pretty RBC
I’m a little disappointed with the Freehand PC tbh. I feel like it’s too light. Which is weird because it’s only 0.3g lighter than the Freehand One, which I think feels too heavy. I wonder if I can swap the guts? Anyone tried that? Maybe I’ll do that this weekend. Or maybe Layer Infinity or someone has some weights I can add.
The regular FH1 is small bearing while the FHPC/FHD are large so afaik you can’t directly swap the guts without some sort of adapter for the size a bearing/spacers.
I was wondering if the spacers and bearings were different, but somehow the spot that holds them was the same size. Probably not, huh?
Yeah, no dice:
(regular FH1 on the left, large bearing FH1 on the right)
It’s an injection molded large bearing one on the right but I assume the PC/Delrin guts are the same. On that note I wonder if they made a whole new mold just for the large bearing FH1 or if there was machining done to fit the large bearing spacers; it reminds me of how people would mod FHZs to take a large bearing SPR back in the day.
the pc hub and spacer is cut for size c bearings so it won’t swap to a stock fh1.
Ah well. Weight rings it is.
best playing reaper and that’s not just me saying that!
Really love the new counterweights I made.
This one is in stabilised spalted sycamore wood. It weighs 12 grams.
