Set up my Strummol8 STB 2.5 for fixed tip play, wow, what a difference! This thing is a great fixed tip player. It is super solid and well balanced, absolutely smooth.

Same here. If I were to post in this thread anytime over the past few weeks or so, it would be very repetitive because it’s always the Linear.

I’ve been playing with my Janus, januses, Jani? Idk. I have a ti and a Al version.
The original Janus is setup unresponsive and the ti is setup responsive.
I don’t want to throw opinions out yet because I tend to not like a yo-yo for a few days until I warm up to it and my skills are meh. However I so far prefer the original Janus for unresponsive play over the ti. Both do responsive well but I’m gonna favor the ti for responsive as it shrinks that yoyo just a tad more and makes it an amazing pocket throw.
Also I swapped in UL side effects on the ti. The difference is about a gram but nothing special but I noticed the default side effects where getting dinged up in my pocket with keys. Maybe there are ti or hard coated side effects that can fix this issue but for now uls at least sit a bit into the yoyo half protecting them more. @jeduardo are more durable side effects a thing?
Also the Janus engraving is rough to the touch on the new ti but I recall the original Janus was the same and over time has become much less noticeable. I assume over time it’ll smooth out a bit. Maybe I’ll give it a gentle rub with some denim

Turning Point Acanthus S.

It is pretty sweet though. Especially if you’re a fan of the Halo franchise, as he is.
I waited a while for that one. It was a pre-order as I recall. It plays sweet as candy boot.
