ProjectY w/a @DedHed CW. I too had a late start to 5AMay but am on my way
5/15/23
I’ve slacked in everyway possible this semester academically. I have a little over 5 weeks to complete my first semester of my masters program. I need all the good vibes I can get atm. With that being said, this og is watching me work today. Have a great day everyone! Lets get motivated!
First attemp at modding and dying a FH1. The dye didn’t work how i wanted but spacer kit and permatex grey silicone is perfect to make it unresponsive. The modded psychedelic butterfy caps are heavier than stock so it weighs in a 73.9 grams.
I think it looks really good
Thanks very much, never perfect but always awesome, lol. I just need to get the dye mixes and dip times right… this made me buy another 3 white fh1 though, its a great all time throw and this setup plays to my preferences. now just to make it look prettier.
Those are great photos!!
Two-story tall ceiling with a 6x6 diffused skylight right in the center and a seamless pure white backdrop. Makes iPhone photos easy.
Thanks for the support Mike. Happy 5a May to ya brother
Hey Doc. Could you tell me what your resource book is? It looks amazing.
It’s Luckys’ Guide…. I don’t know the exact story behind it? But I think it has something to do with once he got around 10 or 11,000 yo-yos in his collection, he decided it might be a bright idea to help other people to figure out what they have or what they see or just find out more about some yo-yo they might be considering buying. I remember years ago when I heard about it I was like… Yeah, whatever… What do I need it for?
And then somebody handed a copy of it to me, and as soon as I opened it up… The second I opened it up… I immediately drew the conclusion that I had to buy one as a reference as soon as possible. And that’s just what I did.
I don’t know if he’s done re-prints? Or if it’s been updated?
But I do know that I look at mine on a regular basis. I am truly fascinated at all the time in trouble he went to to come up with his thing. I don’t know how comprehensive it is because I’m not into collecting that much. But it has so many good descriptions on hundreds of yo-yos. And there are so many color images, and so many little snippets of information, to me, the price of the book is peanuts. Little tiny peanuts. It’s got $1 million worth of information that you can access immediately for about 20 bucks.
I haven’t checked to see if YoYoExpert sells it? I guess I never thought of it because I already have one. But I know you can get them on Amazon. At least that’s where I got the image of the cover.
I got one of luckys yoyo guides for X-mas last year and i will confirm that it’s an awesome refrance and i think it belongs in every collectors library.
Today I’m chucking this Baslik around. With another DedHed CW
Thank you so much. It looks amazing. I’ll check it out.
