So I won this in the Scales raffle which was pretty cool. I understand it is a rare throw, plus the dings must have come from Spencer Berry which makes it neater. Now I just have to figure out why it only sleeps for 30 seconds.
But now the confusing part, this just showed up. With a Flambeau return address. I know these were also up for raffle but I did not hear my name called twice.
Thanks bud. When I opened the box, I instantly said, “this must be a mistake.” The wife of course asked if I was just making up some excuse after buying another new yoyo haha.
I need to spend more time with it to form a solid opinion, but my first impressions are that it is pretty terrific. It is stable and also pretty quick and nimble. And I just love the red/blue colorway. I’m seriously thinking of getting a second one for 3A.
Some sweet Missouri mojo here, you uninitiated yo-ers may have missed the madness in the spin top world, but here it is. Some of it anyways. Really cool top.
They are assembled with a beefy bearing tip that withstands a lot of abuse, and the kit comes with two nuts that allow you to add lights if you get a translucent color, and also lock down the bearing tip to give you a fixed axle. Very good idea, since most folks want to practice both styles. The light is removable from the nut so you can just lock down the tip and not blink if you don’t feel flashy.
