Apparently through the magic of that “introduce the metric system of time” the Hives sing about, my ZGRT El Mijo SL arrived days early even with international travel.
My yo-yo collection is now “officially complete” w/ no remaining caveats. I guess it’s time for me to learn some tricks.

The new El Mijo, from zgrt showed up yesterday. It’s a great looper! Really snappy tight. It feels a bit smaller than the original mijo as far as the circumference is concerned. I assume the SL tag on this new design stands for slimline and it is just that, slimmer and sleeker. I went with a royal purple, but I think they’re still selling them in all 3 colors. Get yourself one!

Big Maker Mail day. Xtool F1 laser engraver/cutter and a Cubiko desktop cnc. The laser is being immediately put to use. The cnc I got for really cheap and might not see immediate use but I couldn’t pass it up for the deal I got.

Not a huge mail day But I got some red side effect for my purple deep state.
I have to admit, I keep reaching for this throw lately. I’m almost to the point that I think I need to buy a second one just to put in my work bag while I’m out and about. (Not sure what other colorways were released or if another release is coming in the future)
Regardless I love the look. Now I need some hot pink string for it

I’ve been wanting to try the yoyofriends Rio since it came out. I was wondering if it would feel alot like how the Speedaholic xx and Shooting Star play. It definitely doesn’t, it has its own unique feel. I like that they chose to go with a smaller ish diameter. I think in terms of controllability the Speedaholic is better but something about the Rio has had me picking it up more since I got it.

I haven’t been posting much. It’s been a bumpy couple of months for me, between selling a house, moving somewhat reluctantly to a new state, and getting laid off. So, my first mail day in our new place is special.
El MiJo SL is my first zgrt. The response is perfect out of the box, plus I have more bearing/blank options to play with later.
The nice thing about most of the furniture being somewhere on out there on a moving truck is all the space available to throw.
