i put a&a fades on it, fits the relaxed vibe with the comfort on my fingers and also color-matches it real nice since i have the bluewhite acid wash☺️

Have to ride this train about the Informel, I wrote some words month ago about it in the topic of 2023, I did played thousand hours with it now and is really a super underrated yoyo, I would not bring it in a competition but it really stand out for tech playing (I mean just look at the player that signature it), is stable, reliable feels good and present on the string and is able to keep up with every combo.
Is a surprise for me that is still on all the shops, discounted and a bit “forgotten”

About the yoyo, you can find it quite cheap, there are for sure other better yoyos around but for the price you can find it is for sure a very good player, I do also like the ano and the finishing!

Yeah, I’ve wondered about that too. When I started weighing halves, I was kind of surprised to find out that they not only differed, but sometimes by what I’d consider a significant amount. That makes me wonder if they (the manufacturer or probably the designer/seller) just paired up halves without much testing, resulting in the disparate weights. But I’d like to think that there’s some art in the process and it’s not strictly science with matching numbers. By that, I mean that they kept on pairing up halves until they found a really good combination, then settled on that pair before repeating the process with another half. I know that I’ve seen some of the smaller boutique brands do this in the past. One of the reasons that I think there’s some truth to that is that I polished a yoyo’s halves without regard to matching weight and sometimes it was a fabulous result (and other times not as much so). Later on, I weighed them and found out that despite playing perfectly, the halves didn’t match in weight. So there have to be other variables involved. But then again, I’m pretty much disregarding where the weight is, and I’m sure that the distribution plays a key factor - and it’s one that I can’t hope to ever measure.
But thanks a bunch for the responses! I’m still in the learning process about yoyos and I’ve found that there’s a lot of complexity to unwrap if you’re motivated and that kind of stuff interests you.

I’ve been wanting to try a KNOK since they were announced. Another yoyo in the prestigious lineup of door knob themed yoyos. It reminds me in a lot of ways of the ILYY Torino. I’m a fan of it.
