The Palpitation ES has landed. Thank you @tigerbeatt!
And one thing about Turning Point… they absolutely do not NOT miss.
I think you said it in a way that suggested that they were copying UNPRLD designs since they had access to those designs being the manufacturer of UNPRLD yoyos.
The comment.
Here’s the comment you linked that I feel you misinterpreted…
“The inside cuts on the mono metal kinda looks like some unprld yoyos. I think they’re both made by the same company? Looks awesome either way.”
I didn’t say what you were suggesting at all. I was saying that because they are made in the same factory, they have similar ways of making things. Kind of like how Honda makes multiple cars at the same factory, you end up with similar pieces. I will say that they do look very similar from photos, and multiple people have made the same connection. Why’d you take the time to dig that up and link it like I said something out of line?
This is what I was basing my post off of if you care as much as you seem…
They seem very similar in looks and specs. I wasn’t saying anything like you are assuming.
It’s not me that is misinterpreting your comment. I’m merely stating YoYoFriend’s perspective based on their reply to your comment. And to me, what I said in my previous comment seems to be what they interpreted your comments as. If anything, you should be clarifying what you said with @Mazdarx7FD instead of me.
This part of the comment can easily be taken to mean that YoYoFriends is copying UNPRLD designs.
With the above assumption and given their reply, this part of the comment just seems like you’re suggesting that they’re releasing an UNPRLD yoyo rebranded under the YoYoFriends brand.
While your comment wasn’t intended to suggest that YoYoFriends was copying UNPRLD designs for their yoyos, that is how it was taken and people’s interpretations of what you’ve said are always more important than what you’ve actually said.
The access to the design thing just was a little extra sounding to me. I didn’t mean that at all. I just am saying I don’t think other companies that machine yoyos elsewhere would come up with such a similar design. I feel because FPM is machining them you get similar yoyos.
Who knows though. Maybe they did think the recog was a great yoyo and set out to make a similar yoyo to compete with it.
If I recall I said don’t compare the recog to the pheasant because they will be unhappy. They downvoted both my posts I made and said whatever they said so I felt they was unhappy to see the recog compared to the mono pheasant.
This is really stupid to spend any amount of time debating.
Okay yeap, I admit that was a bit too much, I didn’t need to put that in.
This is what I doubt. This is the reason I went looking for your comment because I wanted to know if they really didn’t like the Pheasant Monometal being compared to the Recognition, or if it is due to your comment being misinterpreted and being viewed as unprecedented criticism. To me, it seems like the latter rather than the formal. I think you wouldn’t have a negative response from them if you said, “I like how the Pheasant Monometal is similar to the Recognition!”
Hi, that was me. I wasn’t upset with you and my comment is not intend to be that. I am just saying the design history of Pheasant is pretty much stand alone. Also I don’t know what fpm makes because that’s oem stuff not yoyofriends stuff, but I do know recognition is not manufactured at fpm, however that does not matter. My comment was just saying how the design came to be. Recog is a pretty cool yoyo. Having comparison between the two is fine.
To be honest, I am appalled that you took the time to do this. Im working on Spirit Bomb. You’re interpreting/assuming all these things over a simple comment. Nobody’s got time for that when they are trying to learn Spirit Bomb. I’ll get back to you once I land it, maybe.
And for clarification I wasn’t trying to attack yoyofriends. I actually been wanting a Baryon for the longest and Im sure the Pheasant is probably a great yoyo.
Turning point ASTER wow its amazing this is great and 70grams it feels a bit lighter but its smoooooth. Has that new axle a double lock thing
Well, it looks like it was just a case of miscommunication between you and @Mazdarx7FD, so both you and I assumed things about the situation, which is how we ended up here.
It seems like the downvotes didn’t come from YoYoFriends as you assumed, but instead from other users of the subreddit. That also makes all of my previous assumptions irrelevant. With the two quotes from @Mazdarx7FD’s reply above, there’s nothing else to discuss here. You have your clarification in the first quote, and I have my answer in the second quote.
Nevermind
Big day!!
Wow so cool! Love the shadowboxes by the way, that’s how I’ve got my collection on display as well. Which of the MFD yoyos do you like the best so far? I’ve been thinking about getting a yoyo from them for quite some time.
To be honest, Im really digging the Conspiracy right now - Im a big V-shape guy, so this and the Caesar are my main two I really like right now. Haven’t had a chance to get to know the AOTUS yet (just came), and dont have a BSP either. Would be cool to check out the Pixel Ape at some point down the road too.
Definitely recommend for the ano alone - these things are gorgeous!
The downvote came soon as the comment they responded with was posted. That post got very little attention besides them comments. It’s more than assumption who downvoted. You are assuming they didn’t. Why do you care so much anyway? Like what is your purpose here seriously? You dug up this post from 2 weeks ago to argue over the dumbest stuff I could ever imagine arguing over. Quit hankering around hanker. Chill.
