Congrats buddy. Thats sweet
Nice dude! I was this close to having an overture but it sold before I got to it. I have a parlay on the way though! Stoked about that.
Received a very nice Freshly Dirty Mod 44 UNknown C bearing from @Basix. He also included a bunch of extra rims including the set I installed on my red D bearing Mod 44. I installed slim bearings in both and play them responsive.
Ohh ohh. Perfect. I’ve been trying to figure out. Is there any difference in the d and c bearing 44 in play.
Received some trades and my ZGRT throw key came in today as well! Left yoyo is a Retic Boa and the one on the right is a mystery to both me and my trade partner but it’s a nice throw. Does anyone recognize it?
That’s the Throw Co. Debut. Great organic shape!
According to Freshly Dirty the inner body is the same although when I look at the side profile the D has a slight concave profile where the C has a more convex profile.
Too soon to tell otherwise. Red is D, Black is C
Colony plays heavier than i thought it would but i like it way more than the palp.
Dizzo has done it again for one of my throws
Ti Peak look so amazing thank you Dizzo!
Thank you bodahrevy Rev for this Fools Gold Peak 2 Berrymelt love the finish on this one lightly dusted
Also special thanks to Odd Kurt for my 1st solid Parlay.
It was well taken care of thank you Odd Kurt.
I put some yellow flat cap side effects in the Parlay… I like the contrast.
The Parlay plays great for slacks and rejections. I have fallen in love with the way the Parlay throws the string. Parlay has become the throw I gravitate toward more these days.
Came back in London from my holidays in Italy yesterday and found this great guy waiting for me.
I played with it stock for couple of hours and it lives the hype, such an incredible throw, absolutely technical, amazing spin time and a beast in zontal, great catch zone, during slack and rejection, is weird but I felt like immediately comfortable with it, like I played this yoyo for longer time, absolute feeling immediately, have to be honest as they get in comparison I prefer the Klondike to the Da Vinci (while the Da Vinci is an incredible player too).
Yesterday night I put my usual silicone and a DS bearing, curious to try it today!
The 28 stories colourway looks amazing (probably one of my favourites colourway ever) and the quality too, this is my first Clyw yoyo and have to say that is insane, also to be a bimetal they kept the price fair.
Great yoyo!
That was a nice incentive for coming back to the daily grind!
I could be wrong but I think the unknown is first run and the red is second run. The first run only came in C bearing. The second run had some changes to the hub and guts and had both C or D options but I think they were the same aside from that.
The Unknown is second run, it dropped at the same time the D bearing versions released.
The Unknown version used a C bearing so it could fit a half spec and be used for offstring. Since Bryan is a 4A main.
Oh! Good to know. I couldn’t remember any unknowns released on the first run but couldn’t think of any other reason it would look different but that makes sense. Thanks for the info!
That is what I believe as well. I know the red (D) is a version 2 as I bought that new, wasn’t sure on the black C version but that makes sense.
I think mable knows better than I do. Check what they said right above mine. I think that’s the right answer
Lol I was standing next to the FD man himself looking at cool prototypes. I should have asked this when I had the chance.
Well it’s mail time and I got some stuff.
I had got the turn key Saturday but didn’t feel like posting about it. It’s neat it’ll live in my travel bag.
Speaking of travel bags I got my day bag. It’s awesome. I won’t bore y’all with things you already know but I test fit my water bottle laptop and some throws and it all works great.
Then we got that ti Janus setup responsive out the gate. It’s grand. I’ll probably make my “old” Janus a challenging unresponsive while keeping this one responsive to live in my edc pouch or pocket most of the time.
Then we have some Alebrije halves. After chatting with Jorge a bit and spending a bunch of money on all this other neat stuff he offered to send me a few halves to try and tune the vibe out of my Alebrije a tad more. I’ll tinker with that a bit and see what happens. I love ZGRT such awesome stuff. Also as always stickers. Can’t forget the stickers.
Best part he did me a solid held all my stuff till the bag was ready and sent them all together so I only had to intercept one box not multiple. Silly as that seems it was a big help saved me from a wife lecture on not needing more yoyo stuff.
