That’s an awesome mail day

I had a theory that the pleaks were being sent out by color. White first then blue and mud after. Based off a quick scroll of todays mail thread I think I’m 100% right and an actual genius

Nice to see more blue Peaks showing up.

“Mud” that made me laugh

Haven’t even thrown it. I just keep staring at it, wondering if it knows we’re about to destroy some very mediocre combos together

My 1st OneDrop Kuntosh 5000
Hair Band colorway
It is so choice, if you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.
I apologize I love that line

Plastic peak White and Cool Blue so good.
I love the way this rejects the string has a cool sound and wide open. Love those higher walls.

It is going to be a great week for everyone I can feel it.

@Albertino’s Klondike arrived (and left again) today, but before I packed and shipped it I made the mistake of giving it a throw. I now have a Hulk Smash coming cuz I couldn’t resist this one! Insanity.

Turbo Grind Machine from Yoyofactory. This thing is awesome! Great shape and weight for responsive play, and the cork pads provide a really great feeling response system. The dry bearing was a little bit too unresponsive, but after a single drop of thick lube onto the shield and giving it a few minutes to work its way in, the response is super snappy and reliable and spins great.

That Kuntosh is really nice looking. I hope OD makes it again so that I’ll have the chance to try it. What string do you have on it?

Plastic Peak came today after the post office messed up and re-routed it. Should have been here Friday haha! Got the white and blue, kinda wish I had sprung for a yellow/caramel one too, those look so sick!

Kind of on the fence about it. I like it, I think. The blue one might have been missed at the QC check. The bearing was loud and crunchy and it sounded kind of “hollow” spinning and there’s pretty good line going around one half the machining marks are pretty visible on this one compared to the white one and others I’ve seen posted on here.

I was going to keep the white one boxed up but took it out and threw it to see how it compared and the white one is totally opposite of the blue. It sounds solid, spins super smooth, and the finish is wicked smooth and matte as well. Zero machining marks on it. It’s like a completely different yoyo haha! I still dig the color of the blue though, it’s definitely unique!

Edit Took a major multiple ultrasonic cleaning sessions and spinning to get the bearing to fix itself. Now the blue plays super nice as well. Still a little annoyed by the machine marks but it’s alright. There must have been some debris in this bearing that was causing the issue.

Every bearing I get anymore sounds crunch and dirty when I get a yo-yo in. Doesn’t matter what company.

Atmos Cephas - responsive after 10 mins of throwing
Mowl highwall - responsive and loud after an hour of opening
Pleak - crunchy, loud but not responsive
Klondike - I opened 5 seconds ago? Crunchy
All 3 d7 - loud and responsive after a couple throws

I live in a humid area and just assume that’s the reason. No way every single throw I get needs to be cleaned or new bearing in the first week I own it.

That’s the reason, where I am it’s usually very dry weather but it’s been really hot and humid this summer and I’ve noticed it with my bearings too. Same with string, gets all sticky and nasty a lot quicker. I feel for all of you in more humid climates because I can’t stand it haha

Most if my bearings get pet dander pretty quick between 4 cats a dog and a bird and 2 kids there is no safe space from dust and junk also the humidity in the summer makes everything kind of suck.

Yeah humidity is the enemy of bearings, use lots of lube.

My biggest problem is I’m one of those ocd snobs who doesn’t like to open their yo-yos for as long as it’s possible. Just hoping the bearing will sort itself out

Rad mail day. Everything here goes hard.

It is out of a variety pack of Bad Wolf Strings I had accumulated just before they stopped making string last year. I do hope they do some limited runs some time with s good heads up!

A believe it is what they called a plush string a mixture of string material. Not as slick or heavy as the full nylon Bad Wolf Slicc. It is lighter and softer.

The name is Rainbow Connection
( I could be wrong it is out of a variety pack )

This is dummy Thicc, Slicc, Ranbow Connection

They look really nice! I regret that I never got to try BW strings before they closed shop.

Anyway, thx for the reply. Congrats on the throws!
