Got my hands on a @DocPop Bolt XP after trying @Marioyo’s at DXL this past weekend and absolutely loving it! Totally throws me back to when I first started throwing, it’s got a super nostalgic feel reminiscent of the YYJ Kickside from back in the day. BUT it absolutely smokes anything similar released back then in terms of performance. Mega smooth and super fun! And the Lil Beeb counterweight feels fantastic, it’s very “grab-able” and sits at a nice weight. Shouldn’t have slept on this one for so long, the hype is real man!
I told Bruce I was gonna get 2 of these and make a Creamsicle.
So I got 2 and made a……………Creamsicle>
Great color! Was wondering how u got yours that quickly and noticed my package for the clear Abel was also in the mailbox!
Orange creamsicle! Really nice!
How does it play? I think the moon rock finish adds a little weight so the halves might not be exactly the same.
It spins Perfectly.
Actually, halves don’t have to weigh ‘exactly the same. The result of how slightly mismatched halves spin, can be a combination of factors… not just a weight discrepancy.
I tried both Buoy yo-yos ‘first’. Probably the Smooooothest yo-yos I have ever thrown.
Then…… with slight hesitation, I carefully switched halves while shaking my head and wondering just how bad I wanted a Creamsicle, lol.
To my delight, the yo-yo plays just as smooth> No fingernail vibe, no up the string vibe, no tilting, no nuthin……… just rolls Beautifully.
The machine work quality is superb. The finishes on both halves is flawless.
A must have yoyo. The price/ performance factor is far beyond my skill level, that’s for sure.
Great yoyo…
I love the color. Very nice
Are you going to sell one?
I couldn’t wait anymore and snagged a lil confusion last night. Went with the gold/black though. I love half swaps. It makes any trick that shows both halves look more magical. Like looping or gyroscopic flop.
What do you think of it so far?
Its definitely responsive, but kinda small for stalls, maybe need shorter, thinner string. Lube will easily keep it responsive. Also, hubstacks kinda get defeated with the responsiveness, unless you hold tension on the string and align to the gap. the small size makes it feel heavy vs confusion which is floatier, and it comes back real hard when it catches a hard sleeper (smaller footprint concentrates the force per square inch hitting your palm)… thinking this might be more fun with thinner pads and a little less responsive, kinda midschool style…im not a good judge for looping and moon tricks, but i did throw a loop or two without much problem, and im bad at it. Will keep it in rotation a while, i have a lot of new throws to play with too. It has character for sure. Funsized.
Deeper State. Finally got a chance to set it up the way I want it. @TheThrowingGnome recommended a grease packed concave bearing, and the setup frankly rips!
Do you prefer that setup over the stock flat flooded?
Truth be told, I didn’t try out the stock one because I would have had to deshield it and didn’t feel like doing that, and it was a really strong recommendation. The responsiveness is awesome like this.
