What did you get in the mail, 2022?

Clear Weekender FS. I love the Weekender, this is actually my 3rd (you’ll notice one in the background if you have a sharp eye), the only yoyo I have 3 of, and one of 2 yoyos I have more than one of.

The clear finish is super light, combined with Pyramatte finish and the thing almost looks raw. Super excited for this one, planning on this being a 5A beater, and the almost raw look should make it sting less when it inevitably hits the concrete later lol. Big thanks to @DocPop for the amazing yoyos and incredibly quick shipping.

No, only tried Plushh Goldilocks from bad Wolfe. Ordered a few more colors from them this morning. Closest I’ve tried to pure nylon is zipline skyline III. I don’t know the percentage of nylon in them but they play very different than anything else I’ve tried so I’m guessing it’s very high %. How are the Sliccs?

I prefer the Slicc to the Plush myself. If you were around for, and enjoyed, Airetic strings before they went under, you’ll like the Slicc. They seem pretty close to what Airetic had going on. Very good for whip and slack tricks & quite durable. They are slick though. As with the Airetic strings, the loop can come loose on the finger if you’re not careful.

Enjoy the throw

Softer and slicker. They’re really nice.

How do Sliccs compare to Skyline III if you have tried those? I am enjoying those as well atm as they are very stretchy and super soft. Actually they are slightly thicker than the Plushh Goldilocks thickness by bad wolfe.
Top string: Zipline Skyline III
Middle string: Zipline Smoothie Mango
Bottom string: Bad Wolfe Goldilocks Sunny D

I’ll have to order some Sliccs next time around. Wished I could add them to my order of Plushh from this morning lol.

Sliccs play similar to the Skyline, but not as thick or bouncy. Slightly less slippery too.

ZipLine Throw Key ( ZTool I am calling it )
Mk1 yo-yos Spyglass Blue / with black rims
I really enjoy this throw it is so powerful, undersized but not as small as the Sputnik. I really enjoy everything about this throw.

Additionally I have been throwing the Mk1 Spyglass for a few hours and throwing other throws my collection in between because it reminds me of a perfect amalgamation of some of my favorite throws into the Spyglass. So I feel, when you hold Spyglass, if you like Organic throws it is going to remind you of your most favorite throws. The Spyglass has a welcoming organic feel when you hold it.
Making a comparison with throws I have in my collection.
When I throw the Spyglass many qualities come from it that I have felt in other throws I own coming together to make a very unique feeling organic throw.
The Spyglass feels fast spinning like the OneDrop - Parlay but more kick.
The Spyglass feels Stable like a Static Co
Sudo but the Spyglass has some power that gives it a lot of pep in its step.
The Spyglass feels fast on the string like a Opyoyo Sprite even when the Spyglass I think is ~ 3 grams more, yet maintains the Sprite speed and nimbleness on the string.
I guess that is what bi-metals do ++power++

The story of how the Spyglass came to be is also awesome. I would recommend one.
Have a great week.

Not my favorite colorway out of the ones I’ve seen. But a lovely throw nonetheless and that’s what you get with surprise colorways.

Nice! I just ordered some California Sliccs last night. Do the blended colors feel different that solids like Julius? That is mentioned on the website, just curious if you notice a difference. thx

yeah, they do feel a little different.

the blended colors feel softer to me, maybe more bouncy.

the solids feel smoother and somewhat firmer. also slicker.

both are great. if i had to choose, in terms of performance, i’d probably go with the solid colors. i have Tangerine Slicc on a Retic Death Adder v2 that is probably my favorite setup.
