How’s the gradient play? I’ve been real interested in it lately.
Oh, and I’m throwing the AC2 today!
Gradient is a very cool yoyo! I should write a review since a lot of people are asking about it. To me, it plays like the love child of a Valor and a Cascade. Maintains the aggressive sharp profile of the Valor (even sharper!!) but is more mid-weighted like the Cascade and has Side Effect option. It’s a touch more stable than the Cascade owing to the larger diameter. Not that I’ve ever had any problems with the Cascade, which is plenty stable for me already.
I don’t think there’s a better One Drop yoyo for the price. The Benchmarks are also lovely, but this feels like the extra few bucks goes towards a “supercharged” edition. I enjoy the Chik, but without intending any disrespect, I find the Gradient outperforms it on almost every level.
Hmm… I’m already down the road towards a review… maybe I should write a “comparative review” or something.
