I havenāt been here long and already I know that Mi specializes in taking the wind out of everyoneās sails.
I like terrapin X bearings not because of their play, but because they are like a 10 ball bearing that needs no lube to run efficiently.

Anyways, they are nice because they are smooth and reliable.
Well, I was supposed to get one in the post, but it never came :-.
But I have seen pictures, the guy who makes them coats them in a wax to gain a similar effect to the Dorothy bearings.

they are good for several reasons
they are smooth
they are reliable
they done need lube
the groove is deep enough to center the string when trying to get a long sleeper, but shallow enough to let the string slide when layers pile on
