Vintage perfection
It might be a good finishing touch to hand sand it to a smooth finish.
Did you make that counterweight? I love it!
Watch out now, you’re gonna make people wanna play 5A !
Yep.
I’m a total newb at this resin printing thing. It took several iterations before the spacing between cubies looked okay. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d try printing it with black resin and cutting out little colored stickers for all the faces.
I’m really impressed with the quality of the objects that printer punches out.
I think I can get even more quality and precision out of it. But I think I’d need a different kind of resin, a smaller layer height, a higher curing time per layer, and an ultrasonic cleaning tank.
Ay!!
I also designed a custom “hubcap” for the Freehand Pro (to cover the ugly bolt/nut). I’m not sure I like it though.
I kinda like it.
Yes that and some spray paint. I am still in „prototype“ phase try to play around with shape and weight to get my fav yoyo out of the process. Since I am working with 3D since years the modeling part is easy but my cheap printer is just a week old and I have to learn a lot about his behavior to get good/better results.
I can provide you my with my 3D models if you wanna try some out. Working already on v4 the next better one. V3 plays pretty well now I added some more fancy looking shape and a design line.I try that my models work in plastic so they are a bit bigger/thicker then metals would be. Would be interesting to see an epoxy version of your machine.
Would be for sure way less wrinkled
Count me in greez from Munich
