I speak for myself and even if @mynameisjoey has the same opinion, I think you will have to search among the other 28 owners …
Two lines on this yoyo (which also applies to the Project) … constructively it is an authentic work of art, you want for the axis system, ingenious, sophisticated, beautiful, you want for the fact that these yoyos were not created with a lathe but only with a milling machine!
Like any first product that becomes a business card of a new brand that is being born, it is a well-kept object, with a simplicity and essentiality (which includes packaging) that fascinates.
From the point of view of the game, a certain inexperience transpires in designing this type of object, linked to a non-optimized distribution of the masses.
They are yoyos who have a good spin, stability and precision … this as long as the rotation speed remains above a certain number of turns, below them the yoyo starts to slow down but above all it starts to bend and lose direction quickly becoming very demanding to manage.
Ultimately, the first solid steps of those who would become, in a few years, an undoubted point of reference in the construction panorama of the sector.

@persson You know more than me bro!

Fun fact: The Markmont Project was actually my first metal yoyo ever. My bro bought me one straight from the OD website for my bday about 10 years ago or so. I was kinda disappointed when he surprised with it because I really wanted a M1 lol. Only later realizing the Markmont Project was the real deal . Can’t believe I even posted it up for sale, holds too much sentimental value for me and its such a great yoyo. I just wish I took care of the nickel plating

Why, what happened to her?
If it has oxidation spots, it was wanted.
That nickel plating was an explicit request from Mark Montgomery, as nickel with the contact of the sweat of the hands creates a unique “personalization”, what happens to a pair of jeans by wearing them … each owner makes them personal and unique with time, and Markmont is a denim enthusiast.
If you are referring to dings, blows and superficial damage, I don’t think you can do much … the plating should be removed (complex and difficult to do) and repeat the plating.
