What are you throwing in 2026?

That string looks really nice and silky. What’s it made of?

Nylon 100%. And yes MMC from a while back.
A new to me serger thread the neon pink. This one has a few more strands (of the pink) than I’ve made before, a few less of white to get my typical number of threads, but more tension on the initial wind resulted in a very springy stretch or at least a bit more than my typical blend. Soft feel, but the tension keeps the slacks and whips crisp. The bounce feels unreal to me. Really ‘alive’.

Now I may talk like I can do a bunch of rad stuff with a yoyo, but that’s not exactly the case so don’t be fooled. I have a handful of what I think are slick looking slacks and whips, but I am a very slow learner and spend way too much time trying stuff over and over. Fortunately we have so so many tutorials available for us all to learn new stuff. When I struggle too long, I tend to take elements I can get successfully from many of the tutorials and go from there and flow them together.
Keeps it fresh and fun for sure.

Nice! I guessed as much from the slick appearance

I’m sure it takes a lot of skill to wind ‘em that good so congrats!

You can spot the nylon strings by the frayed ‘fuzzy’ vs poly and other strings that the individual threads become obvious. When the end looks like fur or fuzz it’s 100% nylon.

Wildcat
(This was a rebranded NED yoyo but I wanted to re-rebrand it back to its original form, the Wildcat. But there’s a twist to it, it’s got my cat in “demon spawn mode” on the pog)

If you’ve got ‘em, might as well throw ‘em.

Turning Point Derivation (not the official name but it should be, it’s basically a Derive with Palpitation rings).

Love a good Nickelodeon themed throw

Higby FHZ with the color changing ‘25 NYYC caps, and some lovely dead stock G-String from the affable @zeteczx3 too short for him, but perfect for my taste in 5a! (It is absurdly short tho). Also running @MinerJ ’s sweet counterweight, it has been on this thing since the day I got it. It plays awesome and is quiet when hitting the body, great for bloop carrying 5a without sounding like a goof.
