The PockeHt is so dope!
That green and purple halfswap is so nice! How are you liking them?
I really dig both so far. Have played the Sistine a bit more and have really been impressed.

I am currently throwing this iceberg and replay. But this evening I found out how to make custom strings. So I made one to match each, as close as I could with the sting I already had. The one on the iceberg is too thick and makes it a responsive throw.
But the one on the replay is perfect. I will make another for the iceberg shortly.
I asked for thread for Xmas to make strings.
Very nice work!
I’ve made a few strings too! Its kinda fun and a bit rewarding to wrap your yoyo with. What’s the general consensus on thread type / Brands? The sting I made was a bit rough on the hands.
I use overlock poly, guterman poly, fluffy nylon and experiment with blends to work with the individual throw.
Tried normal nylon but it makes ruff strings.
Where do you buy it I can not really find a seller for this stuff…
I am just getting started at string making myself.
The video I watched recommend regular polyester thread for string. But mentioned you can make cotton strings as well, or any blend you like.
One of the strings has some 35%-65% poly cotton blend tread added to the mix.
and it feels the nicest in the hand.
It will take me some practice to learn how tight to twist it.
But like you said, it feels even nicer to land a trick on a string you made.
I am in UK and got it from Amazon I believe.
Took some time to arrive tho
Just looked it’s called wooly nylon not fluffy nylon
I am always over tightened till I added some markers on my floor and even now depends on the materials ur using. Rayon is also a very fun material to play around with.
Your strings look great, nice tension good work I see from the pic!
I am in Germany. Can you send me like if you find the time? That would be very much appreciated!
I have mostly gutterman 100% poly here at home.
It feels really nice in the hand, but I am a fairly basic player, so I don’t get to test things like whips and slack tricks.
I can’t wait to get to the fabric store, after this lock down ends, and try out some different thread types.
I used to make bow strings for bows I made for archery. It is a much simpler endeavor to make yoyo string. And feels very rewarding
