It’s against some archaic rule to identify most yoyos in this topic. If we can’t identify it we are just not very cool.

The Akita is really wide making it hard to miss the string. It’s a great “trick learning” yoyo. If you’ve ever played a Manatee, you’ll have a good feel for how wide it is.

Compared to some other bi-metals, it felt a bit heavier and less “hollow” due to a more even weight distribution. It felt less zippy than other bi-metals, but the spin time was great. There wasn’t much “organic float,” which I think is due to the big SS rims and weight distribution.

It’s a very interesting and capable yoyo. I ended up selling mine as I’ve learned that bi-metals aren’t really for me. There are tons of people that love it.

The Akita is nice. Like @Benmichael86 said it feels a lot heavier than most of the other bi-metals I’ve played with. I think what I’d compare it to most is the Galaxy Diver. The Galaxy Diver feels a bit wider and more powerful though, but the Akita is definitely a lot more comfortable in the hand. The listed weight is definitely a bit deceiving, it’ll play heavier and slower than you expect, you really have to work to move it around. I really like both of them but my preference goes slightly to the Galaxy Diver. I’d say the reason to get one is just if you’re specifically looking for an extra-wide bi-metal. If that’s your main criteria, then you’ll probably love it. I enjoy it for 5A, but for 1A there’s a lot of stuff I would rather be playing with. The width and sluggishness feel a bit cumbersome to me for 1A, but plenty of other people seem to adore it for 1A so it’s definitely a personal preference thing.
