Gooooood morning yo!
Beater on some yellow Markmont Draken. First impressions: stable, solid feeling(almost a heavy feeling), plenty of power, comfortable in the hand. Just a solid performing organic.
Is that the Baconater?
Im pretty hooked on 5A! Since I got my Free Solo as my first dedicated unresponsive 5A set up, its almost all I’ve been playing in the last few days.
Just working on super basics but I’ve figured out normal trapeze 360, 720, and infinite spins; under mount 360 and 720, a weird 1.5 mount 360, and switch (left handed) trapeze 360 and 720. Throwing those tricks in between some simple 1A tricks has been the most full body flow state I’ve found yet and reminds me a lot of Poi. Time really seems to disappear when playing this lol
Whats the throw on the left? Starting to have a really hard time IDing yoyos these days
Thats a DocPop Weekender FS (finger spin), super small run of clear with no engraving.
What are the counterweights?
“Is that a metal Freehand NextGen?!?!”
Nope. I put FHNG caps on my Torque without the slightest thought going into it (hey I had no idea they were gonna fit perfectly lol), and now they’re in there for good until I find something to pry them out with. Has the coolest sound while spinning now but plays like a BOULDER and vibes like a bat out of hell.
(Also ignore the terrible “cloudy skies” paint job I attempted on a Duncan rubber ball CW lol)
R2FG Reactor, i love them because of the groove for the standard slipknot loop. Makes changing strings super easy, or lets me play the yoyo 1A easily.
That looks awesome, in my opinion better than without the caps and with the “Torque” script. Really … it looks objectively great, not just by comparison. Shame about the extreme vibe, otherwise (due to the weight) maybe it could have been retired as a 5A yoyo and moved back into use for 1A.
I agree it does look way better, adds character and pop to the yoyo rather than the boring engravings. I fixed the vibe a little by messing around with the caps and pushing on them a bit around the edges though! Lol. I would loveeee to know the weight but I don’t have a scale like that as I’m not a drug dealer. (Just kidding for those that have scales, I’m actually just jealous) Does anyone have the specs for what Duncan plastic caps usually weigh? The torque is almost 66 grams so I’m guessing it’s gotta make it close to 67 maybe more? I don’t know though I can’t find plastic Duncan cap specs anywhere. It’s almost like it gives it too much torque and not enough horsepower. (Cmon fellow car people this was gold)
Maybe one of our many fellow drug-dealer-yoyo-enthusiasts here can weigh extra caps in between doling out baggies of weed. I would do it for you but I don’t have the caps.
(Also, loved your bad pun! It was wonderfully terrible.)
Actually, I think it looks like a space station view of Earth.
Because the No blue areas look like continents. Sorta 3d
