The torque is almost 66 grams so I’m guessing it’s gotta make it close to 67 maybe more?

Normal Duncan FH1 caps are 3g a piece.

The Next Gen caps you put in are 4g a piece 3.9~

Your yoyo is 74g.

And yeah, caps make any heavy yoyo “sluggish” it reminds me of when Jensen said in a comment one time that he prefers slow spinning yoyos. I didn’t understand it until I started playing with caps in metal yoyos.

just an fyi, butterfly XT caps are 4.5g.

I would try to use a suction cup to take them off before you pry them out.

Suction cup idea is super smart and I have a couple around so thank you for that recommendation. I’m gonna keep ‘em in for awhile though, it’s really weird to throw but I’m getting used to it and it is kinda fun. 74 grams is wild to me though and I’m one that prefers heavier throws usually

Yea I know what you mean. I’ve messed around with caps in monometals and they really change the feel of them big time, but maybe not in a terrible way once you get used to it. It’s just more flavor and spice to add to your lineup imo.

When/if you get bored, try looking into layer infinity weight rings, they will also add some variety to your Torque.
