Truth be told most days this bad boy ends up in my pocket. Duncan Hornet.
One of the caps cracked and I contacted Duncan about if I could get a replacement cap. I had cash! Instead they sent me a new throw. Awesome customer service something I have found in the YO-YO world.
Somehow this beat up or maybe for prestige… lets call it my Modded Hornet seems to be my best Yo-Yo friend, EDC.
I must admit I have a few sexier throws waiting in the wings! Maybe for a few one night stands.

I’ll have to try that. When I first got addicted I bought one for my wife and a few friends/family members. A couple of those ended up back with me so I have an extra I can put a wide bearing in.

Ya i recommend putting in standard pads too, because it typically comes with thick responsive pads. The stock axle is long enough to accommodate the wide bearing.

Spinworthy button with white pine wood co. palm counterweight. I’m finding I enjoy throwing fixed axle with a counterweight, even if I’m just doing the usual 0a stuff.

Do you just clean the bearing?
No, it comes with a half-spec C bearing in it. I replace it with a normal C bearing, like a center track.

Got myself a Duncan Exit 8 on yoyo day and can’t put it down:
This yoyo speaks to me. Slightly undersized which I love, organic but with a wide catch zone, and middle weight for feels. Such a fun and compact beast.

I wish I waited for the YYD discount, but I loved mine so much I got a second not long after they came out. It’s kind of sharp, but it’s worth the occasional pain. Def one of my favorites.
