The RSO pads are good but my ultimate favourite is the One Drop flow groove pads. For me, the grabbier/snappier the better, and these are the best and most reliable.
Also, I have developed a simple mod to make OD flow grooves that fit flush in a “standard” 19mm pad well:

In follow up to this post, I have developed a rather simple mod to quickly and accurately trim down Onedrop flow groove pads (thickness 1.8mm) to make non-recessed “standard” ~1.1mm response pads that will fit flush in standard 19mm response wells. What you will need: Some OD flow groove pads A high walled cheap plastic yoyo that you don’t mind taking a blade to. I recommend the YYF ONE, it has perfectly flat sidewalls, can be found at retail stores (I bought this one at Mastermind in Canada)…
