Weight distribution question

(JayVee) #1

I was messing around with my Luminators and some poster putty, trying out different weights. At first, I tried to add rim weight with the poster putty. The yo-yo felt slower and a lot heavier on a throw. Then I tried adding weight to the center of the yo-yo. It felt as fast and agile as when I got it out of the box, while adding a bit of weight on a throw.

Besides these, are there any other effects when making a yo-yo more rim weighted/center weighted?

You could try the middle road. Kind of in between center and rim. In theory it should add more spin yet stabilize it at the same time, but I could be wrong w/ this.
