Does anyone now how to wear down silicone quickly? It was my first time siliconing and it seemed to be a little responsive. Is there an easier way to wear it down then just using it while it’s responsive?
When applying the silicone you want to use something round to have the silicone be a bit recessed (the corner of a credit card works). If you didn’t do this you may just want to remove the silicone and do it again.
I’m gonna back that statement up. I wasn’t happy with part of my first silicone job and I tried to wear it down. I actually ended up ripping the silicone out. I just redid it. It seemed like it would be faster and easier anyways.
I do also recommend that you have a bright light when you silicone. The better you can see what you’re doing, the better off you’ll be. I have a small halogen desk lamp I use for this purpose. It really helps. Even if it’s bright out, I still use it to ensure I have enough light.
