polish will make you’re grinding worse. I don’t know how to make it better, just don’t polish.

would chalk/baby powder help grinds?
rubbing you hands in baby powder helps, i believe.

couldn’t you satin it to improve grinding? You might be able to do that yourself without having to send it away.
Not on a metal yoyo. That will kill its resale value and add no grinding ability.
Polish makes it really hard to grind if you want a long grinder get a 2012 severe.
Apples and oranges are impossible to compare therefore cats are evil.

Practice a ton. Grinding is still something that takes practice its not just the blast or finish. I average anywhere from 5-6 seconds on any metal yoyo (finger grind). You should see my throwhand index finger. Its really worn down from string rubs giving a nice coarse’esque type feel and yoyos love it! And on homemade sanding that works fine. I grind my plastic chaser and get 4-5 seconds on that.
People satin metal yoyos quite frequently to improve the grindability, but yes, it does radically alter the finish, which will affect the resale value.
