Hey everyone! I recently lubed my yoyo with some sewing machine oil, but put way too much on it. Now the bearing has became responsive and even after cleaning it (both with paper and solvent) it still didnt help. What should I do? Can i just play with it for a few days or maybe even weeks to get the unresponsiveness back or do i need to do something?
You’ll want to let the bearing sit and soak in a solvent to break down the oil, maybe even up to a full day soaking. 100% Acetone or 99% iso should work.
I’ve made this mistake previously, letting it soak and taking it out to spin it on a pencil every few hours helps the cleaner penetrate. Good luck!
