Keep on mind I’m not saying turn the whole community to being not child friendly. I’m saying have events and such that are separate from what exist that cater to the more adult crowd. I’ve talked to many adult throwers in the past who have mentioned how they have to tone down their language at yoyo events around kids, can’t use the music they want to cause of restrictions, etc. Having a more adult oriented type of environment and outlet is something I feel would be a good thing where the kiddos can have their own thing as well. Heck even adult only online spaces where people can not worry about censorship and hey maybe throwers like Ophelia Rain won’t get a hundred angry parents and a mob of up tight throwers attacking her presence ![]()
Umm… just did a google search to see what you were talking about. That’s all I can say on here.
On that i agree with you, but i just want to say that the backlash generated from that was because Recess reposted the photo, not because Ophelia posted it in the first place. She’s more than welcome, and they can do whatever they want, but their stance towards being kid-friendly on their school tours and they being not so kid friendly on their social media (on that instance) kinda bugs me. You can do stuff like that, but you could be a little more responsible about it, and the way they handled the whole situation just spelled immaturity to my eyes.
Some genres just shouldn’t intersect. Is there ever going to be sanctioned event that has an “adults only” section? Not likely nor should there be. If someone through an after party at Worlds that was 18+ I’d be first in line, I’d even be willing to pull off an amazing trapeze trick that few have been lucky enough to see.
Hey, happy cake day man ![]()
TOTALLY off subject but hobbygod is legit one of my favorite people to watch yo. He does it with such smoothness, power and control!
Happy cake day man!!
Thanks! I didnt even realize until you pointed it out Haha. 10 years actually I just checked ![]()

Thanks homie! ![]()
This is the one of the most ridiculous things that I see pop up quite a bit in the online yoyo community. Ive never seen this on any other hobby forum and I just don’t understand it.
I also find it silly that people say you have to be good to have an opinion on yoyos. I mean I dont ball, but I know a good pair of Jordans when I put them on.
Bonsai forums are pretty chill…
Real talk though, good players usually don’t talk much on these platforms like Reddit and forums ![]()
Like @hobbygod said, @EOS44 is probably as good as you’ll regularly see on these platforms
The good players are all on IG letting their tricks do the talking
I even noticed back when I was active years ago, active members who were newer would be pretty active on these forums then slowly fade out as they got better
@andy569 @hobbygod One day i’ll muster enough motivation to give up every online community to dedicate all my energy to practice and become the best yoyoer ever lol.
This is true. @eos_x_44 if y’all want to take a peek lol.
For real though
I dont think I’m that great of a player but all my posts get upvoted like crazy on reddit.
Edit: I’m Barely active on reddit anymore too. I really only post on there to get some traction on my posts/videos in Hope’s of getting sponsored ![]()

Your posts get upvoted on reddit for a couple of reasons lol:
- You can do beefhook type tricks.
 - People actually like tricks posted by a recognized name.
 - you do tutorials.

AND you’re swole
Haha, you forgot that I have a minor resemblance to chris pratt.
but actually my tutorial posts on there dont get as much traction as my actual trick circles.
Thank you fam
 I wasnt always that swole
Is that why I’ve got such a big /bro-crush on you?
…okay, well that was super awkward.
/walks away like nothing happened.
