Possibly! I found a picture of them but there is almost zero information online about the onedrop pegs. Is there anything I should know about how they are used? Or are they pretty self explanatory?
Tbh I’ve only seen them a time or two myself. All I really know is that they exist and that you can do crazy tricks with them.
Be careful. Stunt pegs are kinda DANGEROUS, which is why they got pulled. RSMs was some patent nonsense or something like that.
Well, as we all know, yo-yos were originally used as…..
Yeah but like, I’m talking serious injures. It wasn’t like a paper cut.
Noted. If I make some for @Yodaddyo I will include a waiver
Now I want a set of like inch long spikes
Step one in weird side effect experiments. I found that the ultralights are kinda a pain. You can’t actually thread m4 screws into the outside hole. There is some kinda rim to stop you.
So step two is I am 3d modeling my own side effect to see if I can just print my own from polycarbonate and attach whatever whacky stuff I want onto it.
Don’t think I ever shared these here, but I’ve made a few top tips for my RSMs before. They’re fun and can work like stunt pegs. They snap right over the bearing like a regular hubstack.
3d printed some weird side effects in polycarbonate but have to wait until o rings and set screws come in to find out if they actually work.
Noted. That’s kinda terrifying. I had no idea!
Oh wow! You’re going all in!? Awesome! Cats pajamas, that’s what you are! The bees knees! Even if they don’t work, this is absolutely incredible! Thank you, Andy!
I’m all in for @AudreySickburn custom side-effects. The weirder the better.
Gonna be honest I wasn’t really expecting these to work but holy cow. They actually frickin work.
Hey kid, you ever pullstart a deep state with 2 inch spikes before?
Or with a tiny goblet?
I could be wrong, but the stunt pegs being dangerous thing, I think it was because it was getting snagged on a notch on the post?
If so, you just may have fixed that issue, and only concern would be stabbing oneself with the spear but with it being a plastic dullish? spike, someone would really need to try hard to hurt themselves unless it comes at an eyeball
Well done
I have made RSMs from ultra lights before just have to machine down that edge. Jeremy from Ziplines has them now.
The stunt peg notch is actually what @Yodaddyo was after. Although I have hooked my string in the GIGANTIC spikes while testing this if my throws aren’t clean lol.
Here are the stunt peg versions which do also work and look kinda inappropriate lol.
