Hi there lovely to meet u! Just thought would nice to have somewhere where we can discus where we buy yo-yos from, what ones we’ve bought recently, and just Uk yo yo yoing in general!

Cool, and you. I’m sure there are lots more of us here. Buying, I mainly use the well-known auction site but I got a Whip from a local toy shop when I first started. I also make my own throws. Recent purchases are a MagicYoYo Ghz D1 and a Crossed Flags Duncan woody (the 1955 repro).

The well known auction site being? eBay? I mainly use latiendadelyoyo it’s a Spanish one but have some great throws… And u make ur own!! that is quality mainly fixed axle ones or more advanced things as well? N my new perchases are the clyw boy unprld antidote and also just got the yoyofriends koi. How are ur new perchases!

That’s the one. You’ve got some nice throws there! Yes, I make yoyos, mainly one-piece fixies but I’ve started making three-piece yoyos with threaded axles (like TMBR). Not had a lot of success with these yet – the process definitely needs refining!

Thank you bro just can’t stop myself from getting them :joy: n that is awesome deffo keep it up id love to see ur progress as u make them! Do u mostly use magic yoyo or have u got other brands u enjoy?

Ey up UK squad haha
UK thrower here too. I got into yoyos in the 90s when the yoyo boom hit then I stopped and really got into it in my teens but then stopped again for about 10/11 years. Got the itch to return during lockdown last year. I had pretty much forgotten everything so it’s been fun learning the basics all over again.
I don’t think we can mention other shops on the YYE forums due to YYE also being a store. But there are a few shops around Europe that I’ve tried. There are even 2 in the UK that still get some newer throws in and not just your standard Duncan and YYF plastics.

Oh and here’s a couple of my recent purchases

The one on the left is from a guy in Denmark, under the name Out of Hand, so don’t have to wait that long for it to get to the UK.

yeah man I’ve definitely went a bit mad in the past year adding to my collection haha The bi-metal on the right is the new Slam Dunk by Jake Bullock. Check him out on instagram, I dont think he’s on the forums that much. He used to be on the Anti-Yo team and has been putting out his own line of yoyos the past few years. I think all of the Slam Dunks are sold out at the moment but there are more colours on the way so keep an eye out. its a really good throw

Ikr especially with lockdown n some spare funds sloshing around a treat here n there of a throw rlly is a must :joy: I’ve just bought the koi n already searching for the next buy  n oh wow I’ll be sure to have a look it looks fantastic I won’t lie what’s his ig?

yeah man I’m the same, always on the look haha I was considering the Koi a few weeks ago, how do you find it?
