UFC goat debate

I think that Mahkachev is better than Jones which he is rn since hes #1 P4P, but of all time who do you think is the GOAT?

Yessah some fighting fans here, plenty people and fighters will say Jon because of accolades and a pretty record, despite the steroids, hitting a pregnant woman while driving than running off, eye pokes, and losing to Reyes, and also staining his legacy by holding the HW div. to fight Tom. I say for the ones doing it right, it’s GSP, or Mighty Mouse. Islam is well on his way there, but don’t forget he’s also lowkey ducking Ilia by wanting to be double champ because he “already gave chance to a small guy”, but he himself is already a small guy too by going up to fight JDM, so it’s a bit hypocritical lol Ilia said it himself. Plus I think he lost to Volk the first time around, but it’s the most debatable fight ever. Islam was also caught doing PEDs and his fight was cancelled against Dober, he did eventually fight him doe. I don’t even think he’s on Khabibs level either honestly even doe Khabib fought lighter level competition, but there’s a difference in fighter primes and eras. Khabib whooped Prime Diamond, Islam went to war with an old almost washed Diamond and bled. Khabib never bled either but Islam has twice, if anything Islam has better striking. Overall still GSP, or Demetrious

But yes he is for certain deserving of #1 P4P right now.

Favorite fighter right now and of all time?
Also watch any boxing?

Can’t say whose goat since I haven’t watch for long but I think Islam is #1 today and ilia is #2

I watch a bit of boxing but prefer ufc

Who you got between Charles and Ilia next month?

To be honest he’s beaten every good person in lightweight, and since he’s naturally heavier, he could win as many classes as he can

It’s GSP for me. I’d vote DJ but I really don’t feel as if the level of competition in those lighter divisions has ever been on par with the other divisions, though I know that is a hot take because there certainly are a number of technical fighters at the lower weights.

I really don’t even consider Jones much. He went to close decisions with Gustafson and Reyes, two fighters who struggled with mid-level competition just a few short years later. Jon looked good against a heavyweight with no wrestling, but I actually think Jon would struggle with any of the other fighters in the top 5 at heavyweight, and that’s pretty sad because that division is not very strong right now.

I’d go:

  1. GSP
  2. DJ
  3. Islam
  4. Khabib

The most he’s winning is up to 170, 185 he’ll get destroyed, 145 he’ll die from a very dehydrated brain

My personal goat is silva for the run he went on and the style in which he did it. The undeniable goat, love him or hate him is Jones. I don’t even think it’s debatable when you look at who he’s beaten and the level of competition. Sure you can say steroids but so was everyone else at the time. A good role model? No. But best fighter in the history of ufc? Absolutely.

People talk about the Reyes fight as if it was a robbery, it was close fight but he didn’t do enough to beat the champ. GSP on the other hand for the ■■■■ kicked out him by Hendricks and won somehow. Point being almost all Champs have fights that could’ve gone either way

Yes undeniably it’s Jon. But Reyes won, most of the ufc fanbase knows it, he outstruck him and he had Jon not knowing what to do till rd 4, and yeah you right pretty much every fighter has a controversial fight somehow. I believe the most controversial is Bones vs Dom, Islam vs Volk 1, and non title would be Khamzat vs Burns
