I’ve heard the phrase “tuning out vibe” quite a bit, but never really knew what it entailed. I understand that it involves trying to smooth out a throw, but what are some of the things people do to achieve that?

You can try a couple of things to fix vibe.
-swap the bearing
-swap the axle
-adjust the axle position (either all the way to the left/right or centered)

additionally, if it’s a bimetal or capped yoyo, you can reseat the rims/caps if they have been shifted out of position.
