Can you fix a yoyo vibe

yeah exactly what title says i just smashed my b-grade horizon that had no vibe before banging it and its vibing and it makes it not as fun anymore is there a way to fix it or lessen it

Well, I usually will try flipping the axle around, and /or the bearing, and making sure I screw it together as evenly as possible, and get some good torque on it when righting, usually till my grip slips a bit.

Failing this, bearing or axle swap

After that if it still is unbearably vibey, it is now an offstring or 5a beater lol

Is this a bimetal? If so then another thing to consider is the rings may have shifted

no its a yoyofactory horizon
but thanks for the advice though

Tuning might help Jacob gross does a good video on it. Otherwise play it, I have a deviant that got smashed around and developed a good pulse vibe. Switched it to 5A and after countless drops the vibe went away

They call it percussive calibration

whats tuning

im sorry but i cant view videos from youtube or a lot of other websites cause my filter blocks it cause of a lot of the inapropriate images on youtube so if you can just explain it i would be very happy
much apreciated

Hmm I’ll try my best

Tuning is a really simple idea that vibe can be fixed by making the axle and hex hole favor one side. I thought it was a joke until I tried it myself and found it works in some cases.

yoyo has vibe, try flipping the axle

If it is smooth, stop, you’re there, you did, congrats!

If it improves, try making the axle a little tighter or looser into that half (don’t go crazy)

If it worsens, reverse the steps and try the other side

Flipping the bearing can sometimes help, but it’s negligible

Different levels of tightness when screwing the halves together can also affect this

Full disclosure, these are tiny tweaks, if you’re past nail vibe, it vibes, just vibe with it and play on. This also only sometimes works, it will not work for every yoyo

is there another way to fix the yoyo vibe

You could bash it on the ground again and hope for the best.

Summary

Don’t do that, or do. I’m not your dad

what should i do if my offstring yoyo has a vibe

Tbh there isn’t really much else besides what’s in This thread besides like… getting a lathe and machining it
