just wanted to know and I got pretty bored too 
You can do tricks without binding becuz of high response but some tricks there are so many strings adding up on the bearing that the yoyo will snap back at you so you have to play unresponsive and bind
i personally like binding and unresponsive play because it opens up different tricks. except when i loop i usually bind. also when your showing off to ppl that dont know anything bout yoyoing they see it as a trick and think it is cool
Binding opens up a whole new world of tricks.
That’s not to say that responsive yoyos are obsolete though (watch Ed Haponek’s video).
I agree. Binding opens up a whole new level of tricks that would be much more difficult with other yoyos.
Sounds like there’s a reason we started doing it.
