Any suggestions on thread choice for strings? I was wanting something that would be good for learning whips etc. How many spools should I start with? I plan on making a jig at some point. I know I will need to do some experimenting but I was hoping for a starting point.

I’ve used rayon before when making strings and it holds it’s shape well, and also, if you are interested in trying stuff out, look up glow in the dark thread on amazon, and the spool that has 1100 yards in it is fairly whippy thread from what I’ve heard. I’ve been told glow in the dark strings made with it are quite whippy.
