Delayed because someone was out to lunch.
That would be a big oof
The list of causes of delays is impressively long, but usually it has to do with the fact that money is take up front (pre-ordering) and then the prototyping phase begins, which can take an unpredictable amount of time because you never know how many iterations it will take before the third party manufacturer gets everything right, and then the manufacturing phase, and then the QA phase, and then the fulfillment phase. Sometimes a project is dependent on another vendor who is so backed up with business that you have to wait months before your turn on their machines comes up, and if any of the projects before yours in the queue have issues (incredibly common), that delays your project, etc.
I think that’ll say “delivery attempt” or something like that. Not sure though.
And all that for a Cherry MX clone. Give me Topre or buckling springs or death.
edit: Delay when it was out for delivery? This is one of the rare ones in my experience. Maybe the UPS driver couldnt lift the package and decided screw it?
how heavy can 500 yoyos be?
63 pounds according to the UPS tracking data.
edit: 5, 3, same number…
63lbs according to UPS
oof lol
Maybe the truck is having a mechanical issue.
A box of titanium yoyos broke the truck! haha!
I had work shipments originally scheduled for delivery today and all weekend I kept getting rescheduled and changed delivery time emails… However, the packages were delivered today as originally scheduled. I imagine they were having software issues.
I just need mine to arrive so I can pull the trigger on my next purchase.
Just curious but why does one have to happen before the other?
For my own peace of mind. My illogical thought process doesn’t let reason intervene.
Edit: while on the topic of buying new yo-yos, I think it’s awesome how far we’ve come as far as being consumer friendly. After my next purchase I’ll have bought a titanium yo-yo, a bi metal and two other non-b grade metals for like 300$.
Last time I was around that would probably be 500$ at least.
Yoyos are best enjoyed one at a time. Ive made bulk purchases before and have made some unfair comparisons in the past.
I have a Bounce and a Bowl (and a couple of cheap YYF B-grades) on the way to hold me over until my TiVayders arrive. I can’t let the unpredictable nature of the TiVayder deliveries keep me from making yoyo purchases in the mean time. I’d go crazy!
I might just have to go ahead and buy some stuff to cross off my list. I don’t have a long list of wants, so it’s not like I plan on continuously splurging on yo-yos. I’m really just looking to try out some design trends I missed out on and seeing if it alters my preferences in any way.
We are delivered boys!
HUZZAH!!
Lets go!
