Out of curiosity, who used the words “dead forum” to refer to the YYE forums? I had no idea this place was perceived as “dead” by anyone.

I see the word “dying” used often. I don’t have a name. I’ll give it a search, but the phrazd wasn’t intended to get anyone in trouble.

Nobody really calls it dead anymore but it pretty much was one or two years ago before the forum reboot.
I would say it’s currently growing back up again. While it’s not really dead anymore and is definitely more active now it still gets nowhere near as much traffic as it did 6-8 years ago and fb and Reddit are still more popular while before, YYE was by far the most popular place to talk yoyos

The original forums here were very active but almost too active, and the average user was much younger than that of the other forums at the time.
Lots of useless and repeat topics, and lots of couple month and done users from what i remember.
Now it reminds me more of TheYo, a decent chunk of consistent users who recognize eachother’s usernames and personality to an extent.
