Welcome to the SMHUACGYYT! This is the place to talk about as many yoyos as you like, discuss what you think about them, what could be changed, what things you like on a throw, what things you don’t like on a throw, ect. One quick thing before it begins, if multiple yoyos at being discussed, then please make it clear which one you’re talking about. You could change the title of your reply to the name of the yoyo, or just mention it. Doesn’t matter. That’s it! Have fun!
I’m getting excited about the new Big Dipper. Wish I could find some more pics though, CLYW being all mysterious… Hehe…
(Oh, and mods, if there’s already a thread like this that’s not totally dead, please delete this one. Nobody likes a copy-thread. Though I doubt this name has ever been taken.)
I will mention the Imagine Breaker by C3.
If you haven’t tried this yoyo, you really should. Some will walk away from a yoyo that’s 67+ grams, but you’d never know it if you played with it. I was throwing a 65g Battosai for a while and then switched to the Imagine Breaker and I thought it was LIGHTER than the Bat. Its design makes the yoyo feel super light and speedy. I actually lost control of it multiple times because it was moving faster than I was used to.
I’m also going to break a yoyoing cardinal rule and compare two yoyos to each other. To me, the Imagine Breaker and the old VsNYYC Flying Hut are such parallel designs when it comes to how they play. Specs-wise, they’re not the same, and the FH is a bit rounder with sharper cuts at the rims. But in my hand, and on the string, it’s an outstanding reproduction. For $40 bucks, it’s a totally worthwhile risk, and every single kid (14) in my yoyo club at school simply loves it.
Could be interesting. I personally wouldn’t fall in love with the material if I were you. I know there are some great titanium throws out there that are a ton of fun to play with. But are they $200 MORE fun? Plus redesigning a yoyo with a different metal really does turn it into a new yoyo. The shape would have to be altered or weigh much more than the aluminum version.
