Ahh yes I’ve been waiting hoping for a restock of that and the Alebrije.

I doubt the alebrije will get a re stock. I’ve heard eventually @jeduardo wants to do something with the bearing system but the wood was really hard to get aligned parts and reduced vibe. Which is expected with wood. Woods viby often and extra parts makes more tolerance issues all related to vibe.

All that said I like the alebrije. I hope to see something else with those guts from zgrt at some point.

They can sell me the guts and I will 3d print my own body for it.

I mean, you could ask @jeduardo if he has any parts leftover from the Alebreji that he would be willing to sell you…

An idea that didn’t even occur to me lol. I like the way you think.

I’m gonna 3d print crappier versions of every unattainable Yoyo I want but can’t get my hands on for sure.

Jorge is also incredibly responsive and open to helping when it’s possible. Obviously if he doesn’t have the parts on hand your sol and will have to search the bst.

I shot them a message via the zgrt website and even asked for the cad file lol. Can’t hurt to shoot my shot.

Put together this 5A combo for Aus Trick Variation Tuesday, I don’t know if the last element has a name but it’s fun

Man!!! You and your buddy have perfect synchronization… I’m still trying to figure out how you got your arms to fade together like that. Must have been a fancy camera trick… right??:rofl:

Don’t tell anyone. That doubled the time the CW was out of my hand

Hey y’all! I asked a few questions here last spring when I was just starting to learn yo-yo, tried some tricks, and decided that 0a was too hard for me at that stage. Now I’m back! I spent yesterday failing to pull off a trapeze stall. Watched a few videos.

But it was the comments just-upthread - about holding your hands close together, and keeping your eyes on the spot you want to stall, and not on the yo-yo, that did it. Just nailed about 10 trapeze stalls on a freehand (with many failures), and then pulled off a few on a fixie. Feels amazing. Thanks y’all.

One question though. I’m also trying to futz around with a Butterfly, and it’s not quite responsive enough. Saw the comment upthread from Jerrod about double or triple-wrapping the string. But I’m somehow too dumb to figure out how to do it. I mean, I know what it looks like when it happens to me accidentally, but I can’t figure out how to produce it on purpose. Thanks!

I’m kind of a moron, but I hope this helps.

fwiw I just put chapstick on the string of my butterflies and that gives me the response I like bc they are pretty slippy stock. also welcome back 0a is super fun

Here’s a video showing how to double wrap the string. If you do the same thing a second time it’ll be triple twisted.:+1:

Okay, maybe that’s a little more helpful than my MS Paint diagram…
