Talent show advice.

I am doing a talent show in a few weeks and I know that the yoyo you use is personal preference but… Would the genesis or the dang be a better performer.

I like the Dang. Really nice and smooth. Whatever you feel like, their all yoyos afterall. Preference is the key.

I have a special love with my genesis since it’s been my main throw for almost 6 months. I got the dang a few weeks ago and love it but I am not sure if I can handle the shape difference in a show.

Seriously, it really doesn’t matter. Whatever you feel like. Their both yoyos and their both good. I can’t decide and nobody can decide but you. Whatever you prefer and want to use at that moment. Just pick which one feels right for you.

Ok thanks for the help.

That’s the truth. Whatever you feel most comfortable with works best. Just get very very familiar with your yoyo AND your routine. You might want to pick up more than one in case of knots.

Yes to most of these above, and use the most eye popping like if your dang is black and your genesis is a light green i would go with the genesis. (just an example)

Personally I’d use the Genesis. But may I suggest using both? Like halfway through your performance switch 'em out! ;D

Actually, for a talent contest, that might not be a bad idea. In fact, changing yoyos to change styles might be cool too.

Either way, have extras, even if they aren’t same model matches. Knots happen, you gotta swap out and move on.

My dang is blue and my genesis is silver with blue splash. The silver will look the best in the lights. Plus I feel more comfortable with the genesis.

Depends on the light. But if the blue is like on my 54, it’s not really lighting friendly. The finish absorbs light.

If you’re performing regularly, keep that kind of stuff into consideration for mods and purchases.

For now, don’t sweat and don’t spend too much. See how this one goes. Time is short, so just use what you have. Honestly, people don’t know and don’t care. Put on a good show, and they could care less about the rest.

My point exactly, and nobody wants to watch you undo a knot. So keep one nearby like in a real contest, and you’ll be good to go.
