I had to make a rig for fades. You should make a rig
where should i start with fades?
Wdym like a rig?
yep… i think i should know how fades are made before expanding my rig to do fades…
Lol. You have a normal rig but you put like 4 hooks in a diagonal pattern leading to the middle and then start at your base point above the half and repeat.
no clue what you mean… Anyone who i can PM for instructions?
yep, the main reason i dont do fades is 1) very labor intensive and time consuming
2) different dyes have different thicknesses/playabiity
I hear you just came in to a new camera device yesterday so hopefully I can get some better pictures of what I’m twisting up
Its gonna be much easier to make a fade with a proper set up. There’s a number of points of contact needed plus if it’s labeled it will help keep your sequences in order.
As far as learning it, I learned a lot from reading but the true knowledge came from hands on.
The kitty paw of approval👍
Never thought I’d ever attempt making yoyo string, but seeing all of you posting your creations got me thinking about it. Tonight I had some extra time so I finally gave it a try. Used some old 100% poly thread I found stashed away and followed the “no rig” video on Airetic’s site. Took me awhile but I’m happy with the results.
Are those pieces of string on your socks? LOL!
Yeah, I cut the tails of the loops off so they don’t get caught up in the string when I reduce it. This way, I save as much of the string as possible. Static electricity made the bits stick to my socks
Got at it today. Ya know, the other Sunday.
Made some different thicknesses and did a little experimenting with materials.
